Anna Maunu, MSW, APSW

Advanced Practice Social Worker
Psychotherapist
Mental Health Professional

It is my foundational belief that progress can only be made in therapy when there is trust between therapist and client. I utilize a client-led, client-centered approach when working with clients on their mental health goals, providing a comfortable and safe environment. This is your time and your story. If you want to vent, I will be a listening ear. If you want to learn how to manage challenging symptoms, I will help you develop adaptive skills. If you want to learn more about your diagnoses, I will guide you in learning. If you want to process a trauma or stressful event, I will be with you. It is my therapeutic goal to be a support to you. Together we will develop realistic and attainable goals, as we individualize your treatment.

I approach therapy with a holistic person-in-environment lens; where factors outside of yourself, ranging from individuals in your personal life to oppression at the societal level, can heavily influence your mental health and well-being. I also incorporate aspects from evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I am passionate about providing therapy services to individuals aged 16-65, who are seeking services to manage and/or recover from PTSD, trauma, anxiety, phobias, LGBTQ+ struggles, racial identity, OCD-related disorders, and daily life stressors. I have worked with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, body image concerns, disordered eating, OCD tendencies, grief, stress, and identity concerns. I look forward to working with you.
