Advanced Practice Social Worker
Psychotherapist
Mental Health Professional
I am currently a telehealth therapist who has been working in the mental health field for a little over ten years. I bring to the therapy space an easy-going personality and sense of humor. As an individual born with Cerebral Palsy and wheelchair user myself, I have an innate passion for working with those experiencing the crossover between physical/developmental disability and mental health struggles. I am also a community advocate, working to disolve the stigma, stereotypes, and oppression around persons with disabilities.
I believe therapy can be a great way to learn more about yourself, process struggles and overcome personal barriers. Together we will individualize your treatment to your presenting obstacles, needs and struggles. We will explore your mental health diagnoses or symptoms and develop attainable goals.
I use an eclectic therapeutic approach with a holistic bio psychosocial lense, as there are many factors which can heavily influence your mental health and well-being. I incorporate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused Treatment in my work.
I am enthusiastic about providing therapy services to individuals aged 18 to aging, who are seeking services to manage and/or recover from current mental health struggles. I have worked with clients on daily life stressors, those who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, OCD tendencies, grief, stress, LGBT+ struggles, and identity concerns to name a few. I look forward to meeting and walking this process with you.
